Specialist - Software Engineering
We are looking for a talented and experienced Back End Developer with 7 years experience
Key Responsibilities
Design develop and maintain scalable and secure backend services and APIs using Python and modern frameworks
Write and optimise complex SQL queries manage relational database schemas and ensure data integrity across transactional systems
Build document and maintain RESTful APIs to support frontend applications and thirdparty integrations
Develop and deploy AWS Lambdabased serverless functions and integrate with core AWS services including API Gateway SNS SQS DynamoDB and S3
Implement and maintain authentication and authorisation flows including OAuth SSO JWT and Active Directory AD Authentication
Contribute to and maintain CICD pipelines and DevOps workflows using tools such as Jenkins Bamboo andor GitHub Actions
Monitor debug and triage application performance and production issues using observability and logging platforms such as Splunk Datadog or equivalent
Leverage AIassisted development tools including GitHub Copilot for code generation and productivity and interact with LLM APIs such as GPT4 and Claude where applicable
Participate in architectural discussions contributing to the design of resilient eventdriven and cloudnative backend systems
Collaborate effectively with frontend developers architects and crossfunctional remote teams across US and UK time zones
Engage actively in daily standups sprint ceremonies and peer code reviews in an AgileScrum environment
Uphold high standards of code quality unit testing and technical documentation
