Your Team Responsibilities
MSCI is building the next generation of its HR and Corporate Services technology ecosystem — one where enterprise applications are not just managed but optimised for AI, and where structured operational data becomes a foundation for intelligent automation and decision support.
As VP, Procurement and Corporate Services Technology, you will establish and lead a new function within MSCI's HR Technology organisation. You will own the full technology lifecycle for Beeline — our enterprise Vendor Management System supporting approximately $60M in annual contingent workforce and professional services spend — and will be responsible for driving AI-enabled solutions on top of the application and its underlying data infrastructure.
This role is for someone who thinks about enterprise applications not as systems to maintain but as platforms to build on. You will be the single technical owner for a strategically important domain, operating at the intersection of application engineering, systems integration, and applied AI — with direct accountability for how procurement and corporate services technology evolves at MSCI.
This is a newly created individual contributor role reporting directly to the Head of HR Technology. You will work closely with Global Strategic Sourcing, Finance Technology, and the BT Data team, and will be expected to define what this function looks like and scale it over time.
Your Key Responsibilities
Application Ownership and Platform Engineering
- Own the Beeline VMS platform end to end — configuration, enhancements, release management, testing, and platform health
- Manage the technical relationship with Beeline's managed services team, speccing change requests, validating deliverables, and owning acceptance testing
- Design and implement enhancements to application workflows, approval routing, and process automation in collaboration with Global Strategic Sourcing
- Define and maintain platform governance standards — access control, configuration documentation, and change management discipline
- Lead upgrade cycles and regression testing, ensuring platform stability through change
Integrations and Data Readiness
- Own the integration surface between Beeline and enterprise systems including Workday HCM and SAP, ensuring reliability, accuracy, and maintainability
- Work closely with the BT Data team to ensure Beeline data landing in the Enterprise Data Warehouse is clean, well-structured, and optimised for downstream consumption — including AI and analytics use cases
- Define data standards and integration contracts that make procurement data a first-class asset: consistent taxonomies, enriched supplier and engagement records, and audit-ready lineage
- Troubleshoot integration issues and manage incident resolution with urgency and rigour
AI Solutions and Intelligent Automation
- Drive the identification and delivery of AI use cases within the procurement and corporate services domain — sourcing recommendations, supplier performance analytics, automated approvals, spend anomaly detection, and contract intelligence
- Ensure the application and data layer are structured and maintained in a way that supports AI model training, agent workflows, and retrieval-augmented generation where applicable
- Partner with the HR Technology AI team to extend MSCI's agentic AI platform into the procurement domain, building capabilities consistent with the broader HRConnect and workforce intelligence roadmap
- Stay current with developments in AI applied to procurement and contingent workforce management, and bring informed recommendations to leadership on where MSCI should invest
Business Partnership and Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary HR Technology contact for Global Strategic Sourcing and Finance stakeholders on all Beeline-related technology and AI matters
- Translate business requirements into technically sound specifications, manage delivery against agreed timelines, and communicate clearly on status, risk, and trade-offs
- Proactively identify opportunities to reduce manual effort, increase platform adoption, and deliver measurable business value through technology and automation
- Contribute to roadmap planning for the Procurement and Corporate Services Technology function, with a view to expanding the portfolio as the domain matures
Your skills and experience that will help you excel
Experience
- 7 to 12 years of experience in enterprise application management, systems implementation, or a related technical discipline
- Hands-on experience with a Vendor Management System — Beeline, SAP Fieldglass, Coupa, or equivalent — in a configuration, integration, or technical ownership capacity
- Demonstrated experience designing or owning enterprise integrations, particularly with Workday, SAP, or adjacent platforms
- Exposure to AI or machine learning applications in an enterprise context — whether through direct delivery, data preparation, or platform enablement
- Experience working as an individual contributor owning a complex domain in a matrixed, global organisation
- Track record of managing senior business stakeholder relationships across functions, ideally in a procurement, finance, or HR technology context
Technical Skills
- Strong integration fundamentals — API design, data mapping, workflow configuration, and troubleshooting in an enterprise context
- Ability to structure and optimise application data for AI consumption — clean taxonomies, consistent identifiers, enriched records, and documented lineage
- Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and experience working with structured procurement, spend, or financial data
- Comfort building lightweight automation and analytical solutions on top of enterprise platforms — scripting, workflow tooling, low-code/no-code tooling, or equivalent
- Working knowledge of modern AI concepts relevant to enterprise applications: retrieval-augmented generation, agent workflows, structured data extraction, and prompt-based interfaces
- Comfort with modern delivery practices — version control, documentation, testing, and agile workflows
