Senior SAP ABAP Consultant – CDS & RAP

Role Focus:

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior SAP ABAP Consultant with strong expertise in SAP CDS integration and RAP-based backend services. The role requires hands-on experience in, RAP application development, and Analytic ABAP development, with the ability to design and deliver scalable, user-centric SAP solutions in an S/4HANA landscape.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Fiori applications integrated with SAP CDS for authentication, user registration, and identity management
• Build Fiori applications using RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) as backend services
• Design and implement RAP-based applications (Managed and Unmanaged scenarios)
• Develop and optimize CDS Views, OData services, and annotations for Fiori apps
• Work on Analytic ABAP development, enhancements, and support
• Perform ABAP OO development including reports, enhancements, BADIs, and user exits
• Integrate SAP systems with external applications using RFC, REST, APIs
• Collaborate with functional consultants and UX designers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Perform debugging, performance tuning, and code optimization in S/4HANA environment.
• Provide production support and handle incident resolution.
• Ensure adherence to SAP best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical design discussions.

 

 

Required Skills & Experience

• 9+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development
• Strong expertise in SAP Fiori/UI5 development (custom apps and extensions)
• Hands-on experience with Fiori + SAP CDS integration
• Strong knowledge of RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model)
• RAP-based OData services
• Proficient in CDS Views, Annotations, AMDP, and ABAP OO
• Experience in Analytic ABAP development and enhancements
• Solid understanding of S/4HANA architecture and best practices
• Experience with SAP Gateway, OData services, and performance optimization
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
