State Manager - FM (MH West)
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- As a State Manager - FM (MH West) at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, your primary responsibility is to enhance and expand the distributor network for Farm Machinery strategically to boost market penetration and ensure sustained growth in the assigned territory. You will identify optimal locations for distributor placement by analysing competitive performance and market potential. Maintaining a targeted share of the yearly revenue through the distributor channel is crucial, involving regular performance reviews and strategic interventions.
- In this role, you will deeply understand distributors' latent needs and create tailored sales schemes to incentivise higher volume sales. Evaluating markets for focused sales promotion activities is vital to establishing specific products effectively. You will be instrumental in building and nurturing robust, long-term relationships with major distributors, guiding them in scaling their retail networks sustainably.
- Another key aspect is understanding and managing distributors' cash-flow dynamics, devising mutually beneficial delivery and collection schemes. You will also oversee supplier consequence management to enhance supplier performance, working in close collaboration with zonal and state teams to drive business growth through the distributor network.
- Monitoring distributor volumes on a weekly and monthly basis through structured review mechanisms will enable you to track progress accurately and implement corrective actions proactively. A critical element includes engaging with government business segments, liaising with state teams to create new business opportunities and supporting distributors in government dealings.
- Coordination with manufacturing and supply chain departments is essential to ensure the availability of the right products in the right quantities at the right time, supported by robust forecasting methods. Additionally, you will establish and streamline dealership processes concerning enquiry management and retail operations through dealer management systems, enhancing overall operational efficiency.
