Web Solution Architect
Role: Web Solution Architect (Sitecore Architect)
Location: Kharadi, Pune

Smith+Nephew is looking for a Web Solution Architect to design and lead the technical solutions for our digital customer platforms, including smith-nephew com and Smith+Nephew Academy. You will work closely with product owners, developers, and business teams to turn business needs into modern, cloud-ready, web-based solutions.
What will you be doing?
- Own and deliver end-to-end web solutions — from user stories and architecture through development, testing, and production release
- Provide hands-on technical leadership including technical grooming, developer guidance, solution design support, and code reviews
- Lead Agile technical discovery, backlog refinement, and sprint-level architecture planning with product and engineering teams
- Drive code quality, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and release readiness to ensure fast, stable, and secure deployments
- Define and enforce web platform, CMS, and reusable component architecture standards while maintaining clear, lightweight technical and architecture documentation
- Self-manage priorities, handle competing demands, follow ITIL-based change processes, and translate technical decisions into clear business language.
What will you need to be successful?
- Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Certifications: Sitecore 10 .NET Developer Certification (mandatory),
- ITIL Certification, AEM certification is good to have.
Experience: 10+ years of experience in web development, digital platforms, or software engineering, including hands-on coding and architecture work - Min of 5+ years relevant experience in a solution or technical architecture role for web applications, CMS platforms, or cloud-based digital platforms, with a focus on digital customer experience.
- Experience with commercial CMS platforms, including Sitecore, AEM (Adobe Experience Manager), Drupal, or equivalent, and web platform standards for delivering enhanced digital customer experiences.
- Strong experience in front-end technologies (React, Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3) and back-end integration (REST APIs, microservices, cloud services like AWS or Azure).
- Proven experience in end-to-end web solution delivery, including design, development, code review, deployment, and post-release support for customer-facing websites or portals.
- Should be flexible in supporting the portfolio as per requirement.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical guidance, mentor developers, and lead Agile technical sessions (grooming, discovery, sprint planning).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, automated testing, and release management.
- Strong understanding of ITIL change management processes, Agile release management, and software development lifecycle.
- Ability to self-manage priorities, handle multiple competing demands, and translate complex technical concepts into clear business language for non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams (UX, marketing, product, IT) to deliver scalable, high-performance, customer-focused web solutions.
