Lead - Mechanical Turbine
Responsibilities
Team Lead Mechanical Turbine
Equipment and Maintenance Management:
Plan and allocate resources for Turbine equipment.
Manage availability of key equipment such as main turbine, Condensate Extraction Pump (CEP) etc.
Manage inventory and Ensure timely refurbishments of equipment.
Ensure execution of Annual Overhaul (AOH) and Capital Overhaul (COH) within budgets and allocated manpower.
Support the operations team for emergency handling.
Responsible for improving performance by reducing equipment down time, increasing MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure), increasing equipment availability and reliability.
Maintenance Strategy and Improvement:
Ensure compliance of notifications (predictive, preventive & corrective) and ensure timely corrective and preventive maintenance.
Responsible for daily planning and scheduling of preventive and corrective maintenance of turbine and equipment shutdown defects to achieve zero forced outages.
Ensure preparation of reports and ensure Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Zero Forced Outage (ZFO), and technical audits including ISO, IWMS, and 5S.
Review and modify AOH and COH reports.
Prepare SMPs for the area, reviewing and modifying them based on regular maintenance issues.
Project Management:
Manage business associates, including deployment, attendance of contract manpower, and bill processing.
Identify new projects and maintenance practices to improve equipment availability of turbine.
Preparation of different MIS reports such as safety MIS, ORM/SRM, Legatrix reports, etc.
Budget and Inventory Management:
Provide inputs for Technical Evaluation Reports (TER) and Techno Commercial (TC) related issues for all materials and services.
Approve material and service Purchase Requisitions (PRs), ensure timely quality checks and review of materials and equipment procured.
Provide inputs for Reduction of maintenance cost by ensuring inhouse maintenance of CEP, Vacuum pumps, safety valves, BFP cartridges and other auxiliary spares.
Prepare NFAs and PR approval sheets, as guided by Section Head.
Prepare documentation for procurement of equipment based on actual vs. planned requirements.
Business Sustainability:
Ensure adherence to IMS, AWMS, DISHA, and CHETNA guidelines within the department and ensure implementation of CHETNA drives such as SRFA and FSIPPA through subordinates.
Monitor and ensure safety of personnel and equipment through proper training and adherence to safety protocols.
Audit permits, tools, tackles, and resources during execution of work to ensure safety.
Provide inputs for budget preparation and manage the budget for Turbine maintenance, ensuring cost reductions through in-house maintenance of key components.
Digitization and Automation:
Lead and execute comprehensive digitization strategies to optimize operational efficiency.
Innovate and implement automation solutions to support overall organizational goals and strategy.
Review and implement process and system improvements, adopting newer technologies and innovative ideas.
Utilize advanced technology solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Develop and maintain digital records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
People and Team Engagement:
Lead, inspire, and mentor the team to foster a high-performance culture and ensure cross-skilling through job rotation, technical, and behavioural training.
Drive and enhance employee engagement across the team to sustain a positive workplace culture.
Foster a conducive environment for high employee retention by ensuring team satisfaction and professional development.
Perform Training need identification and ensure proper training.

Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
B.tech/BE in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree related field from a recognized institution.
Work Experience (Range of years):
11+ years of experience in power plant maintenance, and management.
Preferred Industry:
Thermal power generation, utilities, or energy sector.
