Pharmacist

We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will dispense prescription medications accurately, counsel patients on proper medication use, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. This role is essential in ensuring patient safety through medication verification, drug interaction monitoring, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Medication Dispensing & Safety

Review and interpret physician orders; fill prescriptions accurately while detecting therapeutic incompatibilities

Check patient medical histories, allergies, and current medications to prevent adverse drug interactions

Compound, package, and label pharmaceuticals according to proper standards and procedures

Maintain records for controlled substances and ensure DEA compliance

Patient Care & Counseling

Counsel patients on proper medication use, dosage, side effects, storage requirements, and administration techniques

Administer vaccinations (e.g., flu shots, immunizations) and conduct health screenings (blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar)

Advise patients on over-the-counter medications and general wellness topics

Monitor and evaluate drug therapy effectiveness and patient progress

Clinical Collaboration

Consult with physicians and healthcare professionals on medication selection, dosage adjustments, and treatment recommendations

Participate in medication therapy management (MTM) programs and conduct medication reviews

Collaborate on care plans for patients with chronic conditions

Operations & Compliance

Supervise and train pharmacy technicians, interns, and assistants

Manage pharmacy inventory including ordering, receiving, organizing, and storing medications

Maintain accurate patient records and pharmacy documentation per regulations

Resolve insurance billing issues and process claims

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmaceutical regulations
