JOB TITLE: Project Head – HV Panel Manufacturing

LOCATION: Raipur Chhattisgarh

Job Summary: The Project Head – HV Panel Manufacturing shall be responsible for the complete management of High Voltage (11kV & 33kV and above) Panel Manufacturing operations, including engineering, production, quality assurance, procurement, project execution, testing, dispatch, commissioning support, and customer coordination. The role requires strong technical expertise in MV/HV switchgear manufacturing, project management, team leadership, and business operations.

• Key Responsibilities1. Manufacturing & Production Management: Lead complete HV Panel manufacturing activities.
• Ensure production targets are achieved within planned schedules.
• Monitor fabrication, assembly, wiring, testing, and dispatch activities.
• Improve productivity, efficiency, and manufacturing quality.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
• 2. Engineering & Design Control: Review SLDs, GA drawings, schematic drawings, BOMs, and customer specifications.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IS, and customer standards.
• Coordinate with design and project engineering teams for timely drawing approvals.
• Approve technical deviations and engineering changes.
• 3. Quality Assurance & Testing: Ensure all routine, type-related, and acceptance tests are performed as per IEC/IS standards.
• Supervise FAT activities with customers and consultants.
• Monitor NCRs, corrective actions, and quality improvements.
• Ensure calibration of testing equipment and quality documentation.
• 4. Project Execution: Manage projects from order receipt to final dispatch and commissioning support.
• Prepare manufacturing schedules and project milestones.
• Coordinate with customers, consultants, utilities, and EPC contractors.
• Ensure timely completion of projects within budget and quality requirements.
• 5. Procurement & Vendor Management: Develop and monitor supplier performance.
• Approve procurement plans for switchgear components, relays, CTs, PTs, busbars, and accessories.
• Optimize inventory and material planning.
• Negotiate with key vendors and OEMs.
• 6. Team Leadership: Lead Design, Production, Quality, Testing, Purchase, and Project teams.
• Recruit, train, and develop technical manpower.
• Establish KPIs and performance monitoring systems.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• 7. Financial & Commercial Control: Monitor project profitability and manufacturing costs.
• Control CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
• Improve manufacturing margins through process optimization.
• Support tendering and techno-commercial reviews.
• 8. EHS & Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct regular safety audits and toolbox talks.
• Implement ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements where applicable.
• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
• M.Tech/MBA (Preferred).
• Certification in Project Management will be an added advantage.
• Experience 5–15 years of experience in MV/HV Switchgear or Panel Manufacturing.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior management position.
• Experience in 11kV, 22kV, 33kV VCB Panels, RMU, AIS, GIS, Protection & Control Panels.
