Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the financial operations of our cinema. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring daily revenue from ticketing and concessions, ensuring statutory compliance, preparing financial reports, and supporting management with budgeting and financial planning.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesDaily AccountingRecord all daily financial transactions.
  • Verify and reconcile ticket sales, online bookings, and concession (Food & Beverage) sales.
  • Prepare daily cash, UPI, card, and bank reconciliation reports.
  • Monitor petty cash and cash deposits.
  • Financial ManagementMaintain books of accounts.
  • Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports.
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Reconcile bank statements regularly.
  • Monitor operating expenses and control costs.
  • Tax & CompliancePrepare and file GST returns.
  • Ensure TDS deductions and statutory compliance.
  • Assist in annual audits.
  • Maintain proper financial documentation and records.
  • PayrollProcess employee salaries and overtime.
  • Maintain attendance and payroll records.
  • Handle PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, and other statutory deductions (if applicable).
  • Vendor & Inventory ManagementProcess vendor invoices and payments.
  • Maintain records of concession inventory purchases.
  • Verify stock valuation and inventory reports.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for payment schedules.
  • ReportingPrepare Daily Sales Reports.
  • Prepare Weekly Revenue Reports.
  • Generate Monthly Financial Statements.
  • Prepare Budget vs Actual reports.
  • Present financial insights to management for decision-making.
  • Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com/M.Com preferred).
  • 2–5 years of accounting experience.
  • Experience in retail, cinema, hospitality, or entertainment industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of GST, TDS, payroll, and statutory compliance.
  • Required SkillsStrong knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with accounting software (Tally Prime, Busy, Zoho Books, Marg ERP, or similar ERP systems).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)100% accurate daily sales reconciliation.
  • Timely GST and statutory filings.
  • Accurate monthly financial reporting.
  • Vendor payments processed on schedule.
  • Zero major audit observations.
  • Effective cash flow management.
  • Inventory variance maintained within acceptable limits.
  • Working Hours6 days a week.
  • Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and evening shifts as per cinema operations.
