Jr. Accountant

Job SummaryThe Junior Accountant supports the finance department by managing daily accounting tasks, maintaining financial records, and assisting in financial reporting. This role ensures accuracy in financial transactions and helps maintain compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Record daily financial transactions in accounting software
• Maintain general ledger entries
• Prepare journal entries
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing

2. Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Process vendor invoices and payments
• Prepare customer invoices
• Reconcile supplier and customer accounts
• Follow up on outstanding receivables

3. Bank & Ledger Reconciliation

• Perform bank reconciliations
• Verify and reconcile account balances
• Identify and resolve discrepancies

4. Financial Reporting

• Assist in preparing financial statements
• Generate expense reports
• Support budget preparation
• Maintain accurate documentation of financial records

5. Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
• Maintain proper filing of financial documents
• Assist during audits
• Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP)
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Understanding of GST, TDS, and basic taxation (for India-based roles)
