Machine Design Engineer

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in machinery design, particularly in the plastic recycling or industrial automation sector. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with SolidWorks to conceptualize, design, and develop custom machinery components and assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design 2D and 3D models of machinery, parts, and assemblies using SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Create fabrication-ready detailed drawings and BOMs (Bill of Materials).
• Work closely with the production and fabrication teams to ensure design feasibility.
• Modify existing machine designs to improve performance or reduce cost.
• Provide design calculations, simulations, and load/stress analysis (if applicable).
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and safety norms.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proficiency in SolidWorks (2D & 3D modeling).
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication techniques, tolerancing, and GD&T.
• Experience in designing industrial machines, recycling equipment, or custom fabrication machinery preferred.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with motion elements (pulleys, gears, bearings, pneumatics, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes like welding, machining, sheet metal work, etc.
• Experience with FEA or simulation tools in SolidWorks is a plus.
