Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Preferred)
- Diploma in Civil Engineering may be considered for candidates with exceptional experience.
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Construction Operations Manager to oversee and manage multiple construction projects simultaneously. The candidate will be responsible for planning, execution, coordination, monitoring, and timely completion of projects while maintaining quality, safety, and budgetary controls. The role requires regular site visits and close coordination with site teams, procurement, consultants, clients, and the management team.
Key Responsibilities
Project Operations
- Manage and monitor multiple construction sites simultaneously.
- Ensure projects are completed within approved timelines and budgets.
- Review project schedules and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly progress.
- Identify project risks and implement corrective actions.
Site Coordination

*Coordinate with Site Engineers, Site Supervisors, Project Engineers, and Contractors.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality, safety, and productivity.
- Resolve technical and operational issues at project sites.
Procurement & Material Management
*Coordinate with the procurement team for timely material procurement.
- Monitor material consumption and reduce wastage.
- Ensure uninterrupted availability of materials and equipment at all project sites.
Planning & Reporting
*Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports.
- Conduct review meetings with project teams.
- Report project status, delays, resource requirements, and risks to the Directors.
Billing & Cost Control
*Review BOQs, work orders, subcontractor bills, and running account bills.
- Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
- Coordinate with accounts for vendor and contractor payments.
Quality & Safety
*Ensure work is executed according to drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Enforce safety regulations and compliance across all project sites.
- Monitor quality inspections and rectify deficiencies promptly.
Client & Consultant Coordination
*Liaise with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, and clients.
- Attend project meetings and ensure timely implementation of decisions.
Team Management
Lead and mentor Site Engineers, Supervisors, and Project Coordinators.
- Evaluate team performance and improve operational efficiency.
- Build a disciplined, accountable, and performance-driven project team.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of RCC, finishing works, and building construction.
- Ability to manage multiple construction projects simultaneously.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
- Sound knowledge of BOQs, billing, contracts, and project scheduling.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD, and project reporting.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to make quick operational decisions under pressure.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in institutional, school, hospital, residential, commercial, or industrial construction projects.
- Experience handling projects valued at ₹20 crore or more.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
