Job Description

Senior News Reporter – Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Research, investigate, and report accurate, timely, and impactful news stories across assigned beats.
  2. Conduct interviews with government officials, experts, eyewitnesses, and other relevant sources to gather credible information.
  3. Write, edit, and deliver high-quality news articles, scripts, and digital content while meeting strict deadlines.
  4. Cover breaking news, live events, press conferences, and field assignments with professionalism and speed.
  5. Verify facts, cross-check sources, and ensure all reporting complies with journalistic ethics and editorial standards.
  6. Mentor and guide junior reporters by reviewing their stories, providing feedback, and assisting with complex assignments.
  7. Coordinate with editors, video journalists, photographers, and digital teams to produce engaging multimedia news content.
  8. Develop reliable source networks, identify exclusive story opportunities, and contribute ideas for investigative and special reports.
