Job Description
Job Summary:The Electrician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment used in plywood manufacturing. The role ensures uninterrupted power supply and smooth functioning of machines to avoid production downtime.
- Key Responsibilities:Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, panels, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults in plywood machinery and resolve breakdowns quickly.
- Work on machines such as:
- Veneer peeling machines
- Dryer systems
- Hot press machines
- Glue spreaders
- Cutting and sanding machines
- Monitor and maintain motors, drives, and control panels.
- Handle PLC systems (basic troubleshooting) and automation controls.
- Ensure proper functioning of sensors, relays, contactors, and circuit breakers.
- Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance of electrical systems.
- Maintain power distribution systems, transformers, and DG sets.
- Ensure proper earthing and electrical safety standards.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Maintain maintenance logs and reports.
