Housekeeping Supervisor

1. Housekeeping Management

Supervise housekeeping staff, maids, cleaners, and helpers.

Prepare daily cleaning schedules.

Ensure all rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas are cleaned properly.

Maintain high standards of hygiene and presentation.

2. Staff Supervision

Assign duties to housekeeping staff.

Monitor attendance and performance.

Train new staff on cleaning procedures and etiquette.

Ensure discipline and proper conduct.

3. Inventory & Supplies

Maintain stock of cleaning materials and household supplies.

Keep records of consumables.

Coordinate purchases and replenishment.

4. Property Maintenance Coordination

Inspect the property regularly for maintenance issues.

Coordinate with electricians, plumbers, gardeners, pest-control vendors, and other service providers.

Follow up on repairs and maintenance work.

5. Linen & Laundry Management

Manage washing, ironing, and storage of clothes, bed sheets, curtains, towels, etc.

Ensure proper care of expensive fabrics and furnishings.

6. Guest & Owner Support

Prepare rooms before guests arrive.

Ensure the property is ready for family functions or events.

Handle special requests from owners and guests.

7. Security & Asset Care

Ensure doors, windows, and valuable areas are secured.

Report any damage, theft, or unusual activity.

Maintain confidentiality and privacy of the owner's family.

8. Outdoor Area Supervision

Monitor gardening and landscaping work.

Ensure lawns, pathways, parking areas, and outdoor spaces remain clean and presentable.

Typical Requirements

2–5 years of housekeeping supervision experience.

Good communication and staff-management skills.

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and housekeeping standards.

Basic computer skills for records and reporting (optional).
