Chief Technology Officer

We are hiring a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead and scale the technology function at Genericart Medicine Pvt. Ltd., a fast-growing pharma-tech company building a nationwide, technology-driven franchise pharmacy network. This is a high-impact leadership role for a hands-on tech leader (age up to 35 years) who can combine strategy with execution and build scalable systems to support rapid business expansion. The CTO will be responsible for defining and executing the technology roadmap aligned with the company’s aggressive growth plans, including building robust platforms capable of supporting 1000+ franchise stores across India. The role involves end-to-end ownership of product and platform development, including POS systems, warehouse and inventory management, e-commerce platforms, and mobile applications, with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and user experience. A critical part of the role is managing the entire software ecosystem, including internal systems and third-party vendors, ensuring seamless integrations, strong ROI, and high adoption across business functions. The CTO will also drive data and analytics initiatives, building dashboards for sales, inventory, and franchise performance while leveraging AI for forecasting, pricing, and customer insights. In addition, the role includes overseeing infrastructure (cloud, servers, networks), ensuring uptime, system reliability, and disaster recovery readiness, along with implementing strong cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory compliance. The candidate will manage technology budgets, optimize cost versus performance, and plan future infrastructure needs in line with scale. This role requires building and leading high-performing engineering, product, and IT teams while collaborating closely with business stakeholders to drive tech-enabled growth. Ideal candidates will have 10–18 years of experience in technology roles, including at least 5 years in leadership positions, with proven experience in scaling platforms in sectors such as health-tech, retail, or e-commerce. Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), microservices architecture, APIs, modern web and mobile technologies (React, Node.js, Python, Java), databases (SQL/NoSQL), DevOps, and CI/CD is essential, along with experience in ERP, retail tech, or supply chain systems. Exposure to data analytics and AI-driven systems will be an added advantage. This role demands a strategic thinker with a strong execution mindset, high ownership, and the ability to build and scale technology that directly drives business outcomes.
