Role OverviewVenture Skill India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a visionary and highly organized Principal to lead our Government Polytechnic College in Sardhana, Meerut. This role is pivotal, as the campus serves as a dual-purpose hub for traditional technical education and critical vocational training programs under DDU-GKY and UPSDM.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned administrator capable of managing academic excellence while ensuring strict compliance with government skill development mandates.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Direct all administrative and academic operations of the college to ensure maximum efficiency and high standards of education.
• Project Oversight: Supervise the implementation and performance of DDU-GKY and UPSDM projects, ensuring targets for training and placement are met.
• Compliance & Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for government inspections, audits, and reporting. Ensure all college activities align with the guidelines of the Board of Technical Education (BTE) and relevant skill missions.
• Staff Management: Lead and mentor a diverse team of HODs, lecturers, and vocational trainers. Foster a culture of professional growth and accountability.
• Resource Optimization: Oversee the management of labs, workshops, and facilities to ensure students have access to industry-standard training environments.
• Student Success: Maintain a disciplined academic environment while driving initiatives that improve student enrollment, retention, and final placement outcomes.
• Qualifications & ExperienceEducation:
• Master’s Degree (M.Sc., M.Tech, or equivalent Master's degree) in a relevant technical or scientific field.
• PhD is highly preferred.
• Experience:
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant administrative/leadership experience in a Polytechnic, Engineering College, or large-scale Vocational Training Center.
• Previous experience dealing with government-funded skill development projects (DDU-GKY/UPSDM/PMKVY) is a significant advantage.
• Skills: Strong leadership, exceptional communication, conflict resolution, and a deep understanding of the educational landscape in Uttar Pradesh.
