Fitter

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and hardworking Fitter for our Fabrication Shop. The candidate will be responsible for fabrication-related work such as cutting, punching, polishing, grinding, marking, bending, and operating press machines. The person should be physically fit, technically sound, and able to handle shop floor activities efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform cutting of metal sheets, pipes, angles, channels, and other materials as per required size.
• Carry out punching work on metal components using punching machines.
• Perform grinding and finishing work to smooth surfaces and remove burrs.
• Do polishing work for finished products to maintain quality appearance.
• Mark measurements, lines, holes, and cutting points accurately as per drawing.
• Operate bending machines / press brake machines for required shapes and angles.
• Handle press machines for fabrication production work.
• Assist in fitting and assembly of fabricated parts and structures.
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and workshop equipment properly.
• Load/unload raw material and finished goods when required.
• Maintain production targets as per supervisor instructions.
• Follow safety rules, PPE usage, and shop floor discipline.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in work area.
• Inform supervisor regarding machine breakdowns or material shortages.
