Job Description
Job Summary
We are hiring an Operations Associate to manage daily mandi and supply chain operations for pomegranate procurement. The role involves coordination with farmers, traders, transporters, labour teams, and warehouse/dispatch operations to ensure smooth execution of procurement and supply activities.
The ideal candidate should be operationally strong, field-oriented, and comfortable working in mandi environments with fast-moving procurement operations.
- Key Responsibilities
Mandi Operations
- Handle day-to-day mandi operations and procurement activities
- Coordinate arrivals, unloading, grading, loading, and dispatch
- Ensure smooth movement of produce from mandi to destination
- Track mandi arrivals and procurement volumes
Vendor & Farmer Coordination
- Build relationships with farmers, traders, commission agents, and suppliers
- Coordinate procurement schedules and dispatch planning
- Resolve operational issues on-ground quickly
Quality & Inventory Management
- Monitor basic quality parameters of pomegranate lots
- Ensure proper sorting and grading process
- Maintain stock and dispatch records
- Minimize rejection and operational losses
Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate with transporters and labour contractors
- Ensure timely vehicle placement and dispatch
- Monitor loading efficiency and dispatch timelines
Reporting & Documentation
- Share daily operational reports:
- Procurement quantity
- Dispatch quantity
- Stock updates
- Market prices
- Operational issues
- Maintain records using Excel/Google Sheets/mobile reporting tools
- Candidate Requirements
- Education : 12th/Diploma/Any Graduate
Agriculture or Supply Chain background preferred
- Experience : 1–5 years experience in:
- Mandi operations
- Agri supply chain
- Procurement operations
- Warehouse or logistics operations
- Freshers with strong field exposure may also apply
- Skills Required
- Strong coordination and operational skills
- Knowledge of mandi ecosystem preferred
- Marathi & Hindi communication required
- Basic Excel and smartphone reporting knowledge
- Ability to work in field and operational environments
- Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in fruit procurement or fresh produce operations
- Comfortable working early morning mandi shifts
- Good problem-solving and multitasking ability
