Job Description
Role Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and highly motivated Accounts Associate to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will handle daily accounting operations, assist with statutory compliances, process accounts payable and receivable, and support the month-end closing process. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with Indian accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Core Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers using Tally Prime
- Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) accurately and on time.
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, as well as vendor and customer ledger reconciliations.
- Manage petty cash transactions and employee expense reimbursements.
Compliance & Taxation
- Assist in the calculation, preparation, and timely filing of statutory dues including GST, TDS, TCS, PF, PT, and ESIC.
- Generate E-Way bills and E-invoices as per GST regulations.
- Ensure timely collection of TDS certificates (Form 16/16A) and vendor MSME declarations.
Reporting & Audit Support
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L).
- Prepare weekly/monthly MIS (Management Information System) reports regarding cash flow, outstanding payments, and expenses.
- Support internal and external auditors by providing required documentation and answering queries during statutory and tax audits.
- Organize and maintain physical and digital financial records securely.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Master’s in Commerce (M.Com). Candidates pursuing CA Inter / CMA Inter will be given preference.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in corporate accounting, bookkeeping, or a CA firm.
Technical Skills
- Software: High proficiency in Tally Prime is mandatory.
- Taxation: Strong foundational knowledge of the Indian tax system, specifically GST, TDS, and basic Income Tax rules.
- MS Office: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (ability to use Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, and standard financial formulas) and MS Word.
Soft Skills
- Strong numerical aptitude and an eagle-eye for detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential financial data.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet strict compliance deadlines.
