Collection Executive / Officer

Job Summary

The Collection Officer is responsible for managing overdue accounts and ensuring timely recovery of outstanding payments from customers. The role involves communicating with customers, negotiating repayment plans, and maintaining strong follow-ups to reduce delinquency and improve collection efficiency.

• Key ResponsibilitiesFollow up with customers for overdue payments through calls, emails, and field visits.
• Ensure timely collection of outstanding dues as per company policies.
• Negotiate repayment plans with customers when required.
• Maintain proper documentation of collection activities and payment commitments.
• Coordinate with internal teams such as Sales, Credit, and Operations for account resolution.
• Track delinquent accounts and prepare daily/weekly collection reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines while handling collections.
• Escalate critical cases or potential defaults to the reporting manager.

Requirements

• 1–4 years of experience in collections, recovery, or credit operations.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to handle difficult conversations with customers professionally.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and reporting tools.
• Willingness to travel for field collections if required.
• Preferred SkillsStrong follow-up and persuasion skills.
