Electrical Technician

Job Description – Technician (Fresher)

Location: Head Office, 202–204 Unity Estate, Nr. Batliboi, Bhestan, Surat – 395023 Department: Production

1. Job Purpose

To assist in electrical panel assembly, wiring, testing, support, and basic workshop tasks under the guidance of senior technicians and supervisors. The role includes learning to read drawings, assembling components, and ensuring proper wiring and panel preparation.

2. Roles and Responsibilities Panel Assembly & Wiring

• Assist in checking material received from the store as per Bill of Materials (BOM).

• Help in mounting components as per GA drawings and instructions.

• Support in measuring and cutting wires for panel wiring.

• Fit basic lugs on wire ends under supervision.

• Perform control wiring and power wiring as trained by seniors.

• Carry out panel and door earthing work as instructed.

• Help in fixing identification labels and nameplates on panels.

Coordination & Support Tasks

• Coordinate with the store department for material or wire requirements.

• Receive ferrule/wire labels from the drawing department and assist in proper tagging.

• Submit completed panels to the QC department along with senior team members.

• Assist in correcting QC remarks and making necessary changes.

• Support in panel wrapping, loading/unloading, and workshop housekeeping.

Learning & Growth

• Learn to read production drawings and electrical diagrams.

• Observe troubleshooting activities performed by senior technicians.

• Follow safety rules and maintain proper work discipline.

• Report daily work progress to the Production Supervisor/Manager.

4. Knowledge, Skills, and Education Required

• Education: ITI Electrician / Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Fresher eligible)

• Skills:

- Basic understanding of electrical components

- Willingness to learn and follow instructions

- Good physical fitness for on-floor work

- Ability to work in a team

- Basic problem-solving attitude
