Job Description

Job Title: Warehouse Manager

Department: Supply Chain / Logistics

Reports To: Operations Manager / Supply Chain Manager

Job SummaryThe Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, inventory control, and dispatch of goods within the warehouse. The role ensures operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, compliance with safety standards, and timely fulfillment of customer or production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warehouse OperationsManage daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of warehouse space and resources.
  • Develop and implement warehouse procedures and best practices.
  • Monitor workflow to meet productivity and service targets.
  • Inventory ManagementMaintain accurate inventory records and stock levels.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with procurement and production teams to optimize stock availability.
  • Team LeadershipSupervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff.
  • Assign duties and monitor employee performance.
  • Ensure adequate staffing and workforce planning.
  • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct safety training and inspections.
  • Maintain warehouse equipment and ensure safe operating conditions.
  • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Performance & ReportingMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rate, and productivity.
  • Prepare operational reports and analyze warehouse performance.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, diploma or related field (preferred).
  • 1+ years of warehouse operations experience or Fresher, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and inventory control practices.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
