JOB DESCRIPTION Position: Accounts Assistant

About Us

Varthagam International is a private-label apparel manufacturer serving global brands and startups. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated Accounts Assistant to support our finance team in managing day-to-day accounting operations.

Role Summary

The Accounts Assistant will work closely with the senior accountant to maintain accurate financial records, support reporting, and handle routine accounting tasks. This role is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented and eager to build a career in finance

. Key Responsibilities

• Record day-to-day accounting entries, invoices, and maintain ledgers

• Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries

• Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer ledgers

• Support GST, TDS, and other tax-related documentation

• Maintain proper records of all financial transactions

• Coordinate with internal teams for finance-related updates

• Ensure accuracy in billing, payments, and reporting

Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or related field (B.Com preferred)

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and tax compliance

• Familiarity with Tally and MS Excel

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

• Good organizational and teamwork abilities

• Willingness to learn and grow
