Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning & Execution: Assist in developing and implementing production schedules, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor adherence to customer drawings and specifications, coordinate with QA teams to resolve deviations.
- Team Supervision: Lead and motivate shop-floor staff, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify process inefficiencies and implement lean manufacturing practices to optimize productivity.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with procurement, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for senior management.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of built-to-print manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, assembly).
- Proficiency in production planning, scheduling, and ERP/MRP systems.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and translate them into actionable production steps.
- Ability to work efficiently based on engineering-defined operation hours, ensuring adherence to time standards and productivity targets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
- 7–12 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 3–5 years in supervisory roles.
- Demonstrated experience in customer-driven, specification-based manufacturing environments.
- Experience working with engineering teams to meet defined operational efficiency standards.
Reporting Structure
- Reports to: Production Manager
- Direct Reports: Supervisors, Operators, and Technicians
Performance Indicators
- On-time delivery of customer orders.
- Compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Efficiency improvements and reduction of production waste.
- Team engagement and adherence to safety protocols.
- Achievement of efficiency targets based on engineering-defined operation hours.
