Officer - Operations & Maintenance
Responsibilities
Lead/Operational Support Staff - Water Systems
Operational Excellence:
Execute the daily operations of pre-treatment, sea water/brackish water RO plant, DM systems, ETP and STP systems, ZLD, NH3 storage, N-Pit systems and Chlorination/Electro Chlorination systems, ensuring smooth execution of day-to-day activities.
Coordinate with the Maintenance team for timely completion of planned maintenance jobs to ensure equipment availability and follow up on PM schedule.
Execute the implementation of work instructions for efficient plant operations and achieve production quantity and quality as per set targets..
Raise Material Service Requests (MRS) to procure materials from stores as needed.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare and submit Daily Management Information System (MIS) reports.
Maintain accurate records of chemical and consumable goods inventory.
Engage in day-to-day SAP activities related to operations.
Raise Purchase Requests (PRs) for materials and services procurement.
Business Sustainability:
Implement and follow IMS, AWMS, DISHA and CHETNA guidelines within the department.
Maintain the safety of personnel and equipment through proper training and adherence to safety protocols.
Ensure adherence to compliance with all legal and statutory requirements concerning plant operations.
Ensure all formats are in line with PTW (Permit to Work) guidelines.
Digitization and Automation:
Execute comprehensive digitization strategies to optimize operational efficiency.
Implement automation solutions to support overall organizational goals/strategy.
Implement process and system improvements, adopting newer technologies and innovative ideas.

Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
M.Sc./B.Sc./B.Tech in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or a related field with a specialization in water chemistry or industrial chemistry preferred.
Work Experience (Range of years):
4+ years in Thermal Power plant chemistry area operations, with a focus on Boiler Water chemistry (500 MW+), coal & oil analysis and water treatment systems.
Preferred Industry:
Experience in Thermal Power Plant or similar industry.
