JOB DESCRIPTION – ACCOUNTANT / ACCOUNTS EXECUTIVE

About The Job
Premier Mega Hub is a large-format petrol pump facility at Jorabat, regarded as one of India’s largest petrol pumps and among the highest-selling petrol pumps in North East India. The Accountant / Accounts Executive will be responsible for maintaining daily accounts, billing, reconciliations, statutory compliance records, staff attendance/payroll support, and proper financial documentation for the petrol pump.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain daily accounting entries in Tally Prime / Tally ERP, including sales, receipts, payments, expenses, purchases, journal, contra and ledger entries.
- Verify daily petrol pump sales reports, including cash sales, credit sales, UPI/card collections, fuel card collections, expenses and bank deposits.
- Handle billing, invoice preparation, receipt/payment entries and filing of supporting documents.
- Reconcile cash, bank deposits, UPI/card settlements, party ledgers, vendor ledgers and other accounts.
- Maintain credit party records, outstanding reports, vendor bills, purchase bills and expense vouchers.
- Assist in GST, TDS and other statutory compliances and returns as applicable, including preparation of data, summaries and documents for CA / senior accountant.
- Support monthly closing, including sales summary, expense summary, outstanding reports, bank reconciliation, GST/TDS data and management reports.
- Maintain staff attendance records and assist in payroll preparation, including leave, weekly off, overtime, advances, deductions and salary data.
- Maintain basic employee records such as joining details, ID proof, bank details, contact details, transfers, resignations, uniform issue and discipline remarks.
- Report cash shortage, excess, mismatch, doubtful expense, missing document or irregular transaction to management immediately.
Required Skills & Qualities
The candidate should have knowledge of Tally, Excel, billing, accounting entries, GST/TDS basics and reconciliations. The candidate must be honest, accurate, punctual, disciplined, confidential with company data and able to coordinate with managers, staff, vendors, customers, CA team and management.
