Rubber Chemist

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Testing:

• Test raw materials, rubber compounds, and finished products.
• Conduct tests such as hardness, density, abrasion, tensile strength, and color matching.
• Ensure materials meet quality standards before production.
• Maintain testing records and reports.

2. Compounding & Production:

• SupportMonitor rubber mixing and compounding activities.
• Ensure correct formulations and batch consistency.
• Support sample development and trial production.
• Coordinate with production teams for material approvals.

3. Quality Improvement:

• Identify quality issues and help implement corrective actions.
• Monitor production processes to reduce defects and improve product quality.

4. Documentation:

• Maintain test reports, quality records, and batch data.
• Prepare daily and monthly quality reports.

5. Safety & Housekeeping:

• Follow safety procedures in the lab and production areas.
• Ensure proper handling of chemicals and testing equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and discipline in the workplace.

Qualification & Experience:

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Rubber Technology, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in Rubber, EVA, PU, PVC, or Footwear Manufacturing.
• Experience in lab testing and compounding preferred.

Required Skills:

• ]Knowledge of Rubber/EVA/PU compounding.
• Understanding of footwear manufacturing processes.
• Experience in quality testing and inspection.
• Basic knowledge of testing equipment and quality standards.
• Good analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of safety and chemical handling practices.
