Civil Engineer

Job Description – Civil Engineer (Valuation Firm)A Civil Engineer in a valuation firm is responsible for conducting technical assessments and determining the fair market value of residential, commercial, and industrial properties.

1. Key Responsibilities:Conduct site inspections to assess the physical condition, construction quality, and occupancy status of the property.
2. Verify property documents such as Sale Deed, Lease Deed, Approved Plans, and layout drawings.
3. Measure land and built-up areas and cross-check with approved plans and submitted documents.
4. Analyze location factors including accessibility, surrounding development, and market trends.
5. Assess structural details such as type of construction (RCC, load-bearing), age of building, and maintenance condition.
6. Identify deviations, unauthorized construction, or encroachments during site visits.
7. Determine fair market value, distress value, and realizable value of the property.
8. Prepare detailed valuation reports as per bank/NBFC guidelines and company standards.
9. Provide technical remarks on legal, physical, and market aspects of the property.
10. Coordinate with banks, financial institutions, and clients for clarification and report submission.

• Required Skills:Strong knowledge of construction practices and building materials
• Understanding of property laws, approval processes, and local authority norms
• Good analytical and report writing skills
• Familiarity with valuation methods and market analysis
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD (preferred), and documentation
• Qualification:Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech/Diploma/ITI)
• Experience:1–2 years experience in valuation, site inspection, or construction field (preferred) Freshers can also apply.
