Core Responsibilities:

• Preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes
• Supervise and guide chefs and kitchen assistants, ensuring tasks are completed to standard.
• Ensure all mise en place is prepared, organized, and ready for service according to recipes and portioning guidelines.
• Maintain proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients to ensure freshness and minimize wastage.
• Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and hygiene within your workstation and section.
• Support the Chef in monitoring food quality, consistency, and presentation during service.
• Assist in receiving deliveries, checking quality, and ensuring supplies are stored correctly.
• Operate and care for kitchen equipment responsibly, reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
• Follow health, safety, and food hygiene regulations at all times, ensuring compliance with kitchen policies.
• Demonstrate continuous learning and development of culinary techniques
• Collaborate with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth, efficient, and timely service, especially during peak periods.
