Job Description
- Key Responsibilities1. Mechanical Design & DraftingPrepare 2D mechanical drawings using AutoCAD.
- Create fabrication, assembly, and production drawings.
- Develop GA (General Arrangement) drawings and detailed component drawings.
- Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) for projects.
- Modify and update drawings as per production requirements.
- Maintain drawing revisions and engineering documentation.
- Support production and assembly teams with technical clarifications.
- 2. Purchase & ProcurementGenerate purchase requisitions based on project requirements.
- Obtain quotations from suppliers and compare prices.
- Negotiate rates, delivery schedules, and commercial terms.
- Issue Purchase Orders (POs).
- Develop and maintain vendor database.
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
- Monitor market trends for raw materials and engineering components.
- 3. Inventory ManagementMaintain stock records of raw materials, bought-out items, and consumables.
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment.
- Conduct periodic stock verification and audits.
- Ensure accurate inventory entries in ERP/Excel systems.
- Analyze slow-moving and non-moving inventory.
- Coordinate with stores and production departments for material planning.
- 4. Production CoordinationCoordinate with manufacturing and stores departments.
- Ensure material availability for production schedules.
- Follow up on pending purchase orders and critical materials.
- Support project execution through timely procurement and inventory control.
- 5. Documentation & ReportingMaintain engineering records, BOMs, vendor files, and purchase documentation.
- Prepare monthly reports on purchases, inventory status, and cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with company quality procedures.
