Job Description
Role OverviewWe are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Executive to manage the day-to-day operations of a licensed parcel warehouse facility located at Vadodara Railway Station. The role involves overseeing parcel stacking, record-keeping, customer coordination, and ensuring full compliance with Indian Railways rules and contract obligations.
Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Operations
• Manage and supervise the orderly stacking of incoming and outgoing parcel packages within the designated warehouse area.
• Ensure parcels are accepted only as per Railway rules (no banned, dangerous, or explosive goods).
• Monitor and regulate entry of authorized vehicles and packages; prevent unauthorized access.
Record-Keeping & Reporting
• Maintain accurate daily registers (physical or digital) recording Date IN/OUT, commodity details, weight, consigner/consignee info (with Aadhaar & contact number), and charges collected.
• Issue computerized receipts for all stacking charges collected; maintain digital payment records (UPI, QR codes).
• Prepare records for inspection by Railway officials at any time upon request.
• Maintain a complaint and suggestion register at a visible location within the facility.
Security & Compliance
• Oversee CCTV surveillance system (minimum 90-day recording); ensure cameras are operational at all times.
• Deploy and maintain adequate fire-fighting equipment within the warehouse area.
• Ensure all staff carry valid ID cards and are trained for their respective roles.
Customer Relations
• Interact professionally with parcel leaseholders, rail users, and walk-in customers.
• Must Understand how the warehouse customers (sales works) and must execute this.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Education: Minimum 10+2 (HSC); Graduate preferred.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel for record maintenance and reporting; working knowledge of MS Word, email, and basic data entry tools.
• Digital Payments: Familiarity with UPI, QR code-based payment systems.
• Record-Keeping: Ability to maintain structured physical and digital registers as per Railway norms.
• Communication: Good verbal communication in Hindi/Gujarati; basic English reading and writing.
• Integrity & Reliability: High level of honesty; must be comfortable with routine inspections by Railway officials.
Preferred Experience
• 1–3 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or parcel handling operations.
• Prior experience working in a Railway, courier, or freight environment is an advantage.
• Familiarity with GST invoicing and tax compliance is desirable.
Key Attributes
• Responsible, punctual, and capable of working under minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail in documentation and compliance.
• Ability to manage a small team and coordinate with Railway officials as required.
• Comfortable in a dynamic, field-based operational environment.
