Mechanical Design Engineer

FIeld Deptutation at Client Premises:

• This role is for 6 month contract and deputation on field onsite at client premises. The candiadate should be open for such a contractual employment.

Overall Deliverables:

• Reviewed & approved drawings (P&ID, ISO, GAD, layouts,3D Model) and prepare Technical comments / deviation reports
• BOQ validation reports
• Coordination with site construction team, internal stockholder & engineering consultant and maintain records & closure of queries

Key Responsibilities:

1. Drawing Review & Validation

• Review P&IDs for: Line routing, tagging, valve types, instruments, tie-ins and Consistency with process requirements and design intent
• Review piping isometrics: MTO verification (BOQ vs ISO),Weld joints, supports, slopes, flow direction
• Review piping GADs / layouts / 3D Modelling: Line routing feasibility, accessibility, maintenance clearance & Rack loading and routing clash checks
• Review GA drawings of vessels, reactors, tanks: Nozzle orientation, elevation, and accessibility and Internals and supports
• Ensure proper integration with piping and structural layout
• Review equipment layout & piping layout: Maintenance space, accessibility, operability and Interference/clash identification
• Review structure layout: Pipe rack levels, load compatibility, nozzle alignment and Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces (civil, electrical, instrumentation)

2. BOQ & Material Verification

• Validate BOQ vs drawings (P&ID / ISO / GAD), Cross-check with PMS (Piping Material Specification)
• Identify missing scope and deviations from issued BOQ

3. Co-ordination & Communication

• Coordinate with: Engineering consultants, Vendors (e.g., piping, vessels, fabricators),Site execution team
• Raise technical queries (TQs) & track closure and Provide clear comments on drawings for revision

4. Site Support

• Assist site team with: Drawing clarifications and Mismatch resolution (site vs drawing)
• Support during: Material reconciliation and Installation and commissioning

Required Skills & Competencies:

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of: P&ID interpretation, Piping isometrics & GAD and Equipment GA drawings
• Understanding of: PMS, MTO, BOQ matching and Low-temperature service considerations (if applicable)
• Familiarity with: IBR piping systems & valves and Industrial standards (ASME, API)

Software Skills: AutoCAD & CADMATIC (preferred) and Basic knowledge of Excel (BOQ validation, tracking)
