Job Description
We are seeking an experienced professional from the transportation industry who can effectively manage daily vehicle operations, optimize fleet efficiency, and contribute to cost-saving initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong market knowledge of freight rates, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate seamlessly with team members and service providers.
- Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and track all vehicle movements daily to ensure on-time deliveries and route efficiency.
- Evaluate and negotiate freight rates across various locations to achieve the best cost advantage.
- Coordinate effectively with drivers, dispatchers, customers, and maintenance teams for smooth operations.
- Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of trip details, fuel usage, and maintenance history.
- Possess technical knowledge of different types of trucks and equipment to recommend cost-efficient maintenance or repair solutions.
- Work proactively to reduce downtime and control operational costs.
- Prepare daily and weekly reports on fleet utilization, cost control, and performance metrics.
