Accountant

About the Role :

We are building a modern Jewellery Billing & ERP software for jewellers. We are looking for an Accountant who has strong accounting knowledge and is interested in working with software, business processes, and real-world testing.

This role is not limited to bookkeeping. You will help ensure that our software works correctly for real business scenarios and contribute to improving the product based on practical accounting workflows.

Responsibilities :

• Verify accounting workflows and business logic in the software.
• Test purchase, sales, inventory, payment, receipt, and ledger modules.
• Validate GST calculations, reports, vouchers, and financial entries.
• Identify bugs, document issues, and coordinate with the development team.
• Test newly developed features before release.
• Compare software output with expected accounting results.
• Prepare and maintain test data and sample business scenarios.
• Learn customer workflows and provide suggestions for product improvements.
• Assist in customer onboarding, product demonstrations, and user training when required.
• Collect customer feedback and help improve the product.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com/M.Com) or equivalent.
• 1–5 years of accounting experience.
• Good understanding of accounting principles.
• Knowledge of GST, invoices, ledgers, and inventory.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn new software quickly.
• Attention to detail.

Good to Have :

• Experience with Tally, Busy, Marg, Vyapar, or any ERP software.
• Experience with Jewellery ERP or Jewellery Accounting.
• Experience in software testing or business process validation.
