Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct daily inspections and scheduled servicing of electrical panels, distribution boards (DBs), motors, starters, and plant lighting.
- Troubleshooting: Assist senior technicians in diagnosing electrical faults, tripping issues, and component failures using multimeters and clamp meters.
- Wiring & Repair: Perform cable routing, tray fitting, wire stripping, crimping, lugging, and replacement of burnt fuses, relays, contactors, or switches.
- Equipment Monitoring: Take shift log readings for DG sets, UPS systems, transformers, and main switchgear.
- Safety Protocols: Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) rules, wear required PPE, and maintain 100% adherence to electrical safety norms.
- Required Technical Skills
Core Theory:
Clear concepts of 1-phase/3-phase AC systems, motor connections (Star-Delta/DOL), transformer basics, and circuit protection devices (MCB, MCCB, ELCB).
- Tool Usage: Proficiency with multimeters, insulation testers (Megger), hand tools, and crimping tools.
- Schematics: Ability to read basic single-line diagrams (SLD) and control panel circuit diagrams.
