Job Description

The Team Leader is responsible for managing a team of education counsellors/telecallers, driving admissions, ensuring team performance, and maintaining high standards of communication with prospective students.

The Team Leader is also required to achieve their individual calling and admission targets assigned by management.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. Team Management:

Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of counsellors/telecallers.

Set daily, weekly, and monthly targets for the team.

Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback.

Conduct daily team huddles and performance reviews.


2. Sales & Admissions:

Ensure achievement of individual and team admission targets.

Handle escalated student queries and close high-value leads.

Guide the team in effective counselling and closing techniques.

Actively make calls and generate admissions to achieve personal targets assigned by management.


3. Training & Development:

Train new hires on products, counselling scripts, and processes.

Conduct regular refresher training sessions.

Support team members in improving conversion rates.


4. Process & Quality Control:

Monitor calls and counselling sessions for quality.

Ensure proper follow-up with all leads.

Maintain accurate records in CRM or internal systems.


5. Reporting & Coordination:

Prepare daily and weekly performance reports.

Coordinate with the marketing and operations teams.

Share insights to improve lead quality and conversion.


Required Skills:

Strong communication and leadership skills.

Target-oriented and result-driven approach.

Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.

Good knowledge of sales or counselling processes.

Basic computer and CRM knowledge.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (MBA preferred).


Experience: 2–5 years in sales/edutech/telecalling, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
