Roles & responsibilities

• This role ensures product configuration integrity, change control compliance, traceability, and alignment with customer, regulatory, and company requirements.

• The position works closely with engineering, certification, manufacturing, program management, supply chain, and quality teams.

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8–10 years of engineering and configuration management experience.
• Strong knowledge of configuration management principles and lifecycle management.
• Hands on experience with PLM tool - Teamcenter & familiarity with ERP system - SAP.
• Develop and implement Configuration Management plans, processes, best practices & procedures to manage product configurations across the lifecycle.
• Act as the primary point of contact for Configuration Management within the program or project.
• Lead Change board meetings (CCB), co-ordinate with cross-functional team reviews and approvals for CR / CO processes, and ensure timely closure of engineering changes.
• Establish and maintain product baselines throughout development, certification, production, and aftermarket phases.
• Manage Bills of Materials (BOMs), part numbering systems, and product structures.
• Ensure consistency between design data, manufacturing data, and released documentation.
• Ensure accurate release and revision control of drawings, specifications, models, and technical documents.
• Lead & support internal & external audit reviews
• Identify opportunities to improve configuration management efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop CM dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics.
• Lead process standardization and digital transformation initiatives.
• Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, & problem-solving skills.
