Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Lead Engineer – CFD / Aerothermal to drive simulation-led design and analysis activities. The candidate will lead and execute Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) projects across aerodynamic, thermal, and multiphase domains, while leveraging automation and emerging AI/ML techniques to enhance simulation efficiency and insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute CFD simulations for:
• Aerodynamic performance analysis, Conjugate Heat Transfer (CHT) studies and Multiphase flow simulations
• Develop, validate, and optimize numerical models based on strong fundamentals in fluid flow and heat transfer
• Manage end-to-end CFD workflows:
• Geometry preparation, Meshing strategy, Physics modeling, post-processing and reporting
• Utilize Python scripting for:
• Automation of pre/post-processing tasks, Workflow optimization and Data extraction and analysis
• Apply AI/ML techniques where applicable for:
• Surrogate modeling, Design optimization and Data-driven insights from simulation results
• Interpret simulation results and provide actionable engineering recommendations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, testing, manufacturing)
• Ensure simulation quality through validation, verification, and benchmarking

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering field
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in CFD analysis within Aerospace and/or Automotive industries
• Strong understanding of:
• Fluid dynamics and heat transfer fundamentals
• Numerical methods and modeling techniques
• Aerodynamics, Conjugate Heat Transfer (CHT), Multiphase simulations
• Proficiency with CFD tools:
• ANSYS Workbench, ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+ and Icepak
• Proficiency in Python programming for engineering applications
• Experience with AI/ML techniques (e.g., regression models, neural networks, optimization algorithms) applied to engineering problems
• Knowledge of Design optimization and DOE methods
