Role Overview:

This individual will be responsible for defining and implementing the SAP strategy for data protection, dynamic data masking, entitlement management, and identity-driven enforcement. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in deploying complex compliance tools and a broad background in SAP security implementation.

What will you do

• Technical Support: Resolve complex security and compliance issues within the SAP landscape.
• Deep-Dive Troubleshooting: Use ABAP Debugging (Breakpoints, Watchpoints) and trace and resolve failures in NextLabs or SAP UI Masking policies.
• Policy Maintenance: Administer and fine-tune existing Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) policies to ensure they align with evolving organizational requirements without impacting system performance.
• Code Auditing: Review custom ABAP code and transport requests to ensure they comply with established security policies and do not bypass masking controls.
• System Health: Monitor the performance of security tools (NextLabs, Pathlock) and optimize the ABAP-layer integration to prevent system latency.
• Root Cause Analysis: Analyze Short Dumps (ST22) and System Logs (SM21) to identify if security enhancements are causing application instability.
• Documentation: Maintain technical SOPs for security troubleshooting and "Run-Books" for common compliance remediation steps.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience OR In the absence of a degree, 10 years of relevant experience is required
• ABAP Troubleshooting: Strong ability to read and debug ABAP code to identify where security checks (Authority-Checks) or masking triggers are failing.
• Support Experience: Proven track record in a production support environment, specifically managing SAP Security tools.
• Functional Knowledge: Deep understanding of how NextLabs and SAP UI Masking interact with the SAP GUI and Fiori layers.
• Policy Logic: Experience supporting Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) and understanding the logic flow between user attributes and data access.
• Communication: Ability to bridge the gap between "Compliance language" and "Technical ABAP reality" when resolving tickets.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Trace Expertise: Expert-level knowledge of SAP tracing tools to diagnose performance bottlenecks in security policies.
• Advanced Masking: Experience supporting Nextlabs, Pathlock (AVM) or complex UI Masking scenarios involving multiple logical attributes.
• Security Focus: 2+ years of SAP Security experience with a heavy emphasis on the technical "how-to" of data protection.

Location: Must be willing and able to travel 10-20% of the time
