Job Description

An STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) operator runs, checks, and fixes wastewater treatment equipment. They test water quality, add safe chemicals, and keep daily records to make sure the plant cleans sewage safely. 

Main Duties

  • Run machines: Start and stop pumps, blowers, and filters.
  • Test water: Check pH, levels, and clarity.
  • Clean parts: Clear trash screens and wash filters.
  • Fix small problems: Repair basic pipe or machine issues.
  • Write logs: Note daily meter readings and chemical use.
