Job Description – HR Manager (Steel Plant)

Position: HR Manager

Industry: Steel Manufacturing

Experience: 8–12 Years

Location: Mumbai Thane Kalwa

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end HR operations for the plant, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee lifecycle.

Handle Industrial Relations (IR), employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and union interactions.

Ensure compliance with labour laws, statutory requirements, and company HR policies.

Drive employee engagement, training & development, and employee welfare initiatives.

Coordinate payroll inputs, attendance, leave management, and HRMS.

Partner with plant leadership for manpower planning and organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications & Experience

MBA/PGDM in HR or MSW (HR/Personnel Management).

8–12 years of HR experience in steel, metals, or manufacturing industries.

Must have independently managed HR operations for a workforce of at least 600 employees at a manufacturing/site location.

Strong knowledge of Industrial Relations, labour laws, and statutory compliance.
