Job Description
Role Overview
Lead the dealership's sales function to achieve vehicle retail targets, market share growth, and profitability objectives. This role is responsible for managing the sales team, driving lead generation and conversion, ensuring process discipline, and delivering an exceptional customer buying experience.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Performance & Revenue Growth
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual vehicle retail targets
- Drive growth across all product segments (Scooters, Motorcycles, EVs, etc.)
- Monitor daily sales performance and take corrective actions where required
- Ensure achievement of dealership sales and profitability objectives
Sales Team Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and develop the sales team
- Set individual sales targets and monitor performance
- Conduct daily sales reviews and team briefings
- Coach team members on product knowledge, customer handling, and closing techniques
- Build a high-performance sales culture focused on accountability and results
Lead Generation & Conversion
- Ensure effective follow-up of all walk-in, digital, referral, and event-generated leads
- Monitor enquiry-to-test ride and test ride-to-retail conversion rates
- Drive local marketing and lead-generation initiatives
- Build referral and repeat customer channels
Customer Experience
- Ensure every customer receives a professional and consultative buying experience
- Monitor customer feedback and address escalations promptly
- Drive customer satisfaction and retention
- Ensure adherence to OEM sales standards and processes
Sales Process & Operational Discipline
- Ensure all enquiries, bookings, and retail transactions are accurately updated in DMS/EMS
- Monitor sales funnel health and lead ageing
- Ensure compliance with pricing, discount, and approval policies
- Maintain discipline in sales documentation and reporting
Finance, Insurance & Exchange Business
- Drive finance penetration through lender partnerships
- Improve insurance attachment rates
- Support exchange business and used vehicle evaluations where applicable
- Maximize revenue from value-added products and services
Market Development
- Monitor local market trends, competitor activities, and pricing
- Identify growth opportunities within the dealership's catchment area
- Build relationships with institutions, businesses, and local influencers
- Drive participation in dealership events, roadshows, and BTL activities

- Business Performance - Vehicle Retail Sales Achievement, Market Share Growth, Booking-to-Retail Conversion

Requirements
Experience
- 5+ years in automobile sales
- 2+ years in a team leadership role
- Two-wheeler dealership experience preferred
