Job Opening for Software Development Engineer at Larsen & Toubro PES

L&T is India’s biggest private company supplying defense equipment’s with over 40 years of experience in this field. We provide indigenous, design to deliver solutions across defense spectrum from land based weapon systems, air defense and artillery systems, unmanned systems, naval weapon systems, communication systems, avionics, C4I and missile systems.

L&T is developing Tactical / MALE Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, swarming systems and solutions. These unmanned platforms provide a technological edge to forces on ground and greatly contribute to our security. Current role is towards the development efforts of these platforms, from inception to user trials and offers immense job satisfaction.     

Responsibilities:

1. Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C, C++ code.
2. Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to problems.
3. Help to maintain product quality, organization integrity and team coordination.

Requirements:

1. Strong proficiency in C++, with fair knowledge of the OOPs & STL.
2. Proficient knowledge on communication protocols like CAN, TCP/UDP, UART, I2C etc.
3. Good to have experience in GIS map technology.
4.  Experience in developing GUI with tool chains such as Qt, QML etc.
5.  Hands-on experience in designing and developing scalable computer vision solutions with OpenCV, CUDA, OpenCL, NPP etc.
6. Good understanding of memory management, thread Management, Concurrency & Parallelism programming.
7. Familiarity with embedded systems design, low-level hardware interactions.
8. Experience with Xilinx FPGA tool flow (Vivado) for synthesis, implementation, and bitstream generation.
9. Familiarity with Yocto, RTOS.
10. Good to have knowledge on Unit / integration testing.
11. Know-how of coding standards like MISRA, C++.
12. Familiarity with code versioning & project management tools.

Academic Background:

1. B. Tech. / M. Tech. in Electronics / Computer Engineering

Travel: 30% of the time depending on requirement
