Role Description

Working within our Design & Engineering teams, you'll create some of the world’s most iconic and ground-breaking structures and spaces that transform the world around us, from making journeys easier to opening up public places that bring people together. 

The role sits within our Resilience Global Business Area. We work to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations. The rate at which we’re seeing large-scale, unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires, is becoming more frequent. Role Accountabilities

• Ensure project documents are accurate, clear, concise, and compliant with best practices and applicable project standards.
• Support automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure the drafting scope is delivered within budget and timelines.
• Manage documentation, including preparation and maintenance of drawing registers.
• Support developing BEP’s and BIM project workflow criteria for complex projects 
• Conduct regular model audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with naming conventions.
• Demonstrate strong self‑motivation and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Possess good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
• Adapt to new tasks and challenges based on evolving business requirements.
• Maintain compliance with the Arcadis business management system.

Qualifications and Experience 

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized University.
• 4+ years of experience in Main Plant drawings, layouts, grounding, and lighting.
• Prior experience working on UK‑based projects (advantageous).
• Familiarity with UK codes, standards, and industry practices is essential; experience with standards from the USA, Europe, and Australia is an added advantage.
• Experience in consultancy environments, especially within the energy and utilities sector.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English, supported by good analytical abilities and proficiency in computer applications.
