Transmission Line Role
Responsibilities
- Lead planning, design, execution, and commissioning of EHV/HV transmission lines (33kV and above) associated with renewable energy projects.
- Coordinate end to end project lifecycle of Pooling Sub-station
- Coordinate end to end project life cycle of Transmission Line - route survey, tower spotting, foundation works, erection, stringing, sagging, and commissioning activities.
- Responsible for availability of materials at site as per the delivery schedule
- Coordinate with state utilities (DISCOMs, STU), CTU, and regulatory bodies for grid connectivity, approvals, and charging.
- Ensure compliance with CEA, IS standards, safety norms, and statutory regulations throughout project execution.
- Oversee ROW management, land coordination, local authority liaison, and contractor interfaces to mitigate execution risks.
- Monitor project schedules, cost controls, BOQs, DPRs, and ensure adherence to approved budgets and timelines.
- Lead contractor and vendor management, including technical evaluation, billing certification, and performance monitoring.
- Support PTL/DTL testing, energization, protection coordination, and integration with substations/switchyards.
- Identify and mitigate technical, safety, and execution risks proactively.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, progress reports, MIS, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site teams.
Qualifications
- B.E. / B.Tech – Electrical Engineering
- 12–15 years of relevant experience in PSS and transmission line projects, preferably in renewable energy / power infrastructure.
- Experience in handling utility-scale solar or wind evacuation projects.
- Strong communication, coordination, and leadership capabilities.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
