The DLP Specialist - Compliance is responsible for monitoring, reviewing, and investigating DLP alerts using enterprise DLP tools to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role involves managing DLP alerts, escalating incidents, generating reports, and contributing to process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and investigate DLP alerts daily using Data Loss Prevention tools.
- Manage and fine-tune DLP policies, rules, and thresholds to reduce false positives and enhance detection accuracy.
- Analyze DLP events and follow defined escalation processes, maintaining accurate and timely status updates and closure documentation.
- Generate regular reports, dashboards, and metrics to track DLP performance and risk indicators.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of DLP processes and documentation.
- Handle the DLP team mailbox and coordinate communications.
What you need to have:
- Minimum 5 years overall experience with at least 2 years in DLP (Symantec, Forcepoint, McAfee, Microsoft DLP) within an enterprise environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft DLP, including policy design, administration, and incident handling.
- Proficient in Power BI for dashboards and MIS reporting, with capabilities in Power Query and Power Automate.
- Proven ability to collect, clean, transform, and validate data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Ability to perform trend analysis and define, track, and report DLP KPIs (incident volume, false positives, top data types, risky users, channels, SLA/closure), including root-cause analysis and actionable recommendations.
- Strong analytical & investigative skills to identify trends, anomalies, and patterns across DLP alerts, logs, and incident data.
- Good understanding of information security fundamentals.
- Ability to research, analyze, and summarize relevant information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
