data42 is Novartis’ flagship initiative that leverages one of the pharmaceutical industry’s largest and most diverse R&D datasets, combined with AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics, to accelerate drug discovery, improve decision-making, and deepen disease understanding. The Snr. Spec. Platform Analytics Foundry role is a key member of the data42 program, responsible for designing, building, and scaling enterprise-grade data, analytics, and AI-powered solutions on the Palantir Foundry platform. Working within the Unify+ Foundry Platform team, the role partners with cross-functional stakeholders to develop scalable, secure, and governed applications that transform complex business challenges into impactful data and AI solutions.

Job Description

Major Accountabilities 

• Design, develop, and manage Palantir Foundry solutions including data pipelines, ontology models, workflows, reporting, governance, permissions, auditability, and release management.

• Build and maintain scalable data engineering solutions by integrating Novartis internal, external, and cloud-based systems with Foundry to ensure high-quality data ingestion and processing.

• Develop custom Foundry applications and front-end solutions using ReactJS, Workshop, Slate, TypeScript, and Foundry application frameworks.

• Create AI-powered and agent-based solutions leveraging Foundry AIP, GenAI capabilities, LLM technologies, and agentic architectures to enable intelligent business workflows.

• Lead platform integrations and connectivity initiatives with AWS, enterprise applications, APIs, and Foundry Data Connectors/Magritte Agents to support business use cases.

• Evaluate, validate, and implement new Foundry platform capabilities, collaborating with architecture and platform teams to drive innovation, proof-of-concepts, and technical accelerators.

• Provide advanced technical support and platform expertise for Foundry products, troubleshooting complex issues and enabling product teams with best practices and guidance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, data scientists, engineers, analysts, and quality teams to deliver secure, scalable, high-quality solutions following Agile and engineering standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.

• 6+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years of hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry and 4+ years in Big Data/Data Engineering platforms.

• Strong expertise in Palantir Foundry components including Code Repositories, Code Workbooks, Data Connections, Ontology, Workshop, Slate, Foundry Applications, AIP, and AI Foundry capabilities.

• Proficiency in programming languages and technologies such as Python, PySpark, Spark, TypeScript, SQL, Java, JavaScript, ReactJS, HTML, and CSS.

• Experience designing and implementing enterprise integrations using APIs, Foundry Data Connectors, Magritte Agents, and cloud platforms such as AWS.

• Hands-on experience developing AI/GenAI solutions, including LLM-based applications, agentic frameworks, multi-agent systems, and intelligent workflow automation.

• Strong software engineering and DevOps knowledge, including CI/CD, version control, testing frameworks, agile methodologies, code quality standards, and release management.

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with proven experience delivering complex data, analytics, and AI products in global, cross-functional environments.
