Specialist - System Management
Role Name Sybase DBA
Key Responsibilities
Install configure upgrade and maintain Sybase ASESybase IQ databases
Monitor database health performance and availability
Perform database performance tuning and optimization
Manage database security user access and permissions
Execute backup restore and disaster recovery procedures
Handle database migrations patching and capacity planning
Troubleshoot database issues and provide production support
Automate routine DBA activities using scripting languages
Work closely with application infrastructure and support teams

Experience in LinuxUnix environments and commandline tools
Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills
Preferred Skills
Experience in BankingFinancial Services projects
Exposure to cloud and infrastructure automation
Knowledge of Oracle MSSQL or MySQL databases
