Job Description

Job Summary –

A Senior Data Modeler designs and implements data models, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and efficient storage and retrieval. They work with various stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical data structures. Senior Data Modelers also focus on maintaining data models, optimizing data flows, and adhering to data standards and security protocols. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with SME to gather requirements.
• Analyze, understand, and translate business needs into long-term solution data models.
• Implementing data strategies and developing logical and physical data models.
• Enforce data modeling standards and best practices.
• Create detailed mapping documents covering source to target mapping, transformation logic and communicate data models and their specifications.
• Use data modeling tools and software’s for model creation and management.

Years of experience needed –

Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Data Modelling and Data Analysis.

Technical Skills:

• • Hands on experience in various data models techniques such as ER Modeling and Dimensional Modeling.
  • At-least few projects worked as data modeler and specially designed conceptual/logical/physical data models.
  • Hands on experience in translating business requirements into well-defined data models in data modeling tools.
  • Hand on experience in various data modeling tools , especially in Erwin.
  • Expertise and hands on experience in various databases and architecture computer systems, including advance SQL .Especially Netezza, SQL SERVER,DB2 UDB.
